The following, was not written by Glenn Frey, who unfortunately died just before our run.

It is proposed that we sign this song, at the forthcoming Hash Bash.
Let your singing practice begins now!

On a dark cold Tuesday evening, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of car engines, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I say the Belle Vue Pub
My legs grew heavy and my body went cold
I had to stop for the sight.

There Dick stood by the entrance;
I heard the brief for the night
And I was thinking to myself
'This could be Heaven or this could be Hell'
Then I turned on my torch and showed the pack the way
There were voices down in the underpass,
I thought I heard them say

Welcome to the Wycombe Hash
Such a lovely group (such lovely group)
Such a lovely pace
Plenty of room at the Wycombe Hash
Any Tuesday night (any Tuesday night) you can join us for a beer

Hashers' minds are definitely twisted, some having gone round the bend
There are lots of pretty, pretty people that we call friends
How they run on such a cold night, no sweet summer sweat
Some run to relax, some run to forget

So I call I call up the Hares
'Please tell me the way'
The Hashers' shout; 'we haven't seen any flour since nineteen-fifty five'
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Running around late at night
Just to hear them say'

Welcome to the Wycombe Hash
Such a lovely group (such lovely group)
Such a lovely pace
They living it up at the Wycombe Hash
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise) regroup at the lay-by

Bright stars in the sky
Tracks covered in ice
And Natasha reminds us, 'we are all just Hashers' here, of own device'
And during the check back
They gathered for the view
They stared with bewildered eyes
And all saw the naked beast

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the pub
I had to get my body back to the temperature it was before
'Relax' said other Hashers'
'We are destined to return'
You can check any time you like
But you can never leave!'
