Hash Away Weekend at Home

A message from the GM: (updated 18 September 2022)

As you are no doubt aware, I had to bail out of organising our weekend away due to uncertainty about, timing of, and recovery from, cataract operations.
I was not able to find a substitute organiser so, unfortunately, I must defer the event to 2023.

Sorry.

As small recompense, I am organising, like last year, an away day at home.

The final schedule is attached.

I hope you can make it. If you are planning to attend, can you please tell Sooper, so I can get an idea of numbers. [there's a link to a Google spreadsheet in the WhatsApp group - s.]

Saturday morning is potentially tiring, especially if you take part in the HW park run. I have pushed the start of “A Beautiful Mind” back to 10:30 to give a bit more time to travel. If this is problematic, let me know. There is a degree of flexibility in event timing.

Saturday afternoon is potentially tiring. Please let Ant know if you plan to ride. If there is insufficient interest we may cancel this activity.

Saturday evening is music night. Not only do you have the usual strange games / quizzes but you also get to see/hear the HWH3 band again.

Make it worth their while and put your face in the audience. As an aside, they are still looking for a drummer, so if you know of anyone, please let them know.

In between musical numbers, we need additional entertainment. I ask for volunteers to fill this void. Even if it is just one activity, that will reduce the load on me and others. Your cooperation will be much appreciated.

Event Diary

10:30-12:00

A Beautiful Mind (if I can remember the rules).

Location is my house.

Due to a late booking, the car park in Rosetti Hall will not be available to us. Park on the road in the adjacent area. Do not park in Rosetti Hall. The Common between cotton.sofa.headboard and pipe.blindfold.strutting should be available.

Bring running shoes, writing implements and cameras. Prize for best FRB and SCB. Note the later start time to allow attendance at the Park Run (starts 9am).

14:00-17:00

Bike Rides:

Ant has offered to be the off-road wheel guide.
Spy will lead a select group on-road.
Or do your own thing.

Meet outside my house. Remember to bring a bike or you will be knackered.

19:00 till 23:00

Holmer Green Village Centre. (gossiping.quietest.doll)

19:00 to 19:45. Eat, drink and be merry.
Bring your own food. There are 3 take-aways within walking distance which include fish & chips, chinese, indian, kebabs and pizza.
Bring your own beverage(s).

Hash Band playing live music. 2 sets.

Picture quiz (or 2).
Pass the parcel (Rebecca will whip you into shape).
Shake your booty (Mia will whip you into a frenzy).
Other stuff (hush hush).

Must have GSOH or at least tolerate others who do.
