Hummery: Fancy a cosy countryside dinner in somebody’s front room….with a bar, a separate snug & lots of parking out back? Then here’s the pub for you!

Overheard on the hash (28th April 2015)

“Can you guess what the name of that plane is…in the picture on the pub wall over there? Think logically.” “Is it the ‘Beer?” “No! It’s the Handley Page Hampden!” [Some husband & wife chit chat in the pub between Simon & Louise]

 “If no-one else is going direct, I can offer you a back on the Prince Albert” [Dick in response to Matt’s request for a lift back from the hash]

“Thanks for that! However, I think the combination of me + a fully-loaded rucksack will have you pulling wheelies all the way back” [Matt’s considered reply]

“No worries Matt - Dick is good at wheelies remember….particularly in car parks!” [Alan’s less considered quip….recalling the time when Dick demonstrated how to pull a wheelie in a car park at the start of the 2013 Peak District Bike Hash….and ended up cut & bloodied]

”Elvis has entered the building!” [Kev & Kerri’s dog was allowed access to the non-dog pub]
